Hello Members of UniServ District 8!
I am looking forward to getting to know each of you. I have already contacted many of you via email, phone, or letter and am looking forward to coming out to your schools for a visit in the near future.

The end of the school year brings with it a unique combination of pressures, and this spring is no different. Discussions of budgets, regionalization, and increased accountability are surely adding to your burdens. I am hearing from many of you discussions about RIF-ing, cuts in hours, contract negotiations, and budget cutting. This can add a lot of stress on top of your already full work days.

I urge you to look to your local association rep and myself if you are experiencing stress due to contract and management issues. You do not need to be alone.
